You're safe here.
We are an adtech-themed product. Our website is, deliberately, not.
A privacy policy on a real adtech site usually runs ten thousand words and discloses dozens of vendors. This one is short on purpose. The brand promise is plain English. Here it is.
What we do not do
- We do not set any cookies, first-party or third-party. None.
- We do not run user analytics. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Fathom, no anything that identifies you.
- We do not embed advertising pixels, third-party trackers, or retargeting beacons.
- We do not collect, assign, or sync any user identifier.
- We do not fingerprint your browser.
- We do not record your session.
- We do not share data with any third party. (There is no data to share.)
- We do not use behavioral retargeting. The irony of the alternative was unsupportable.
What we do know
Three things, briefly:
1. Cloudflare delivers this page to your browser. Cloudflare is our hosting provider. Like any web host, Cloudflare's servers briefly see the IP address that requests each page so they can return the page. They do not retain this for us, and we never see it. This is the basic mechanism by which the internet works.
2. Cloudflare counts page views. The same host runs a cookieless page-view counter. It records that a page was loaded, roughly where from, and which browser. It sets nothing on your device, assigns you no identifier, and cannot recognise you on your next visit or anywhere else. We see totals, never people. It is the least interesting telemetry in the industry, which is rather the point.
3. If you give us your email address, we will keep it. If you sign up to be notified when the game launches, we hold your email address in a Google Sheet (collected via a Google Form embedded on this site). We will use it only to send you a maximum of two emails: one when we launch on Amazon, and one if a future edition is published. You can unsubscribe at any time, or email us and ask to be removed manually. We will never sell, share, or rent your email address. When the project ends, we will delete the sheet.
Your rights
Because we don't collect anything about you except the email address you choose to give us, there's not much to exercise rights against. But: if you've signed up for the email list, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send. You can also email us and ask to be removed manually. If you want a copy of what we hold about you, it is your email address. We will type it back to you.
If this changes
If the privacy posture of this website ever changes (for example, if we add a contact form that uses a third-party service, or if we move hosting providers) we will update this page and note the change at the bottom. We will not change it silently.
